Sturdy vinyl prep platform

This Lazy Susan is well built, runs quietly and is stable, even with uneven loads. I suspect most people will buy this tool for cooking or food presentation, but my use case is a little different. I know vinyl users who complain that they never get their records to sound clean, even after cleaning them several times. . Visited a friend with this problem and continued watching him try to clean up his LP while it was spinning on the turntable. No wonder when he dropped the needle there was a click, bang, and bang! Even the highest torque stages will stop when the necessary pressure is applied to clear a 12" LP. This can cause the belt to slip on belt driven stages, or can damage the bearing or motor on direct drive stages burn through. Not worth the risk because of such a poor cleaning result. I bought this Lazy Susan for the specific purpose of providing a stable, pivoting platform to clean my records, and in that regard it works great! , and then over a small stool to raise it to working height.I attached some glued-on foam sections (by cutting the gasket) to the top of the Susan, and then placed an inverted 16" aluminum pizza pan on top. Finally, I placed a 12" rubber - Vinyl mat in the center of the tray and voila! - Instant cleaning station LP! This solution works well, especially em because Susan is smooth and stable no matter how hard I press. on it so that the brush dips deep into these grooves. While I know it's not as effective as something like "Spin Doctor" for cleaning, it's a lot cheaper and a lot easier to use. It's fast, efficient, and an easy way to clean up your recordings, albeit only one side at a time, but since I only listen to one side at a time, that's not a problem. you can have
