I was very happy to see a high speed winder at such a low price. I should have known that low price means low quality. I was willing to overlook anything less than careful packaging (i.e. throwing it in a white box with some bubble wrap - as if that would prevent any metal rods of the device will be scratched or a few holes will be drilled in the box during shipping) and the flyer's arm was not bent at right angles. Noticing that the flyer had touched the table and was no longer spinning, I bent the flyer to allow room for the device and table top. Amazing, isn't it?! (Because I totally thought I was dealing with some superbly woven yarn cake.) Wrong. so wrong. The gears are so hard! I mean, the force it takes to turn the handle is enough to make you feel like a good workout is about to begin. You really have to use your body weight to turn it (no exaggeration). That's ridiculous! I had a cheap plastic winder, which set up in less than a quarter of the time and wound up smoothly with no issues. It's really a waste of my time, money, and calories burned (for which I should be grateful, but I'm still a bit disappointed with the method used to burn those calories). I folded the flyer to make room for the device and tabletop. Amazing, isn't it?! (Because I totally thought I was dealing with some superbly woven yarn cake.) Wrong. so wrong. The gears are so hard!
