bought recently, chose a long time. Reliability is the main criterion, since two external disks have already "died". One dead man of Verbatim form with Samsung stuffing (as it turned out). Utter nonsense. After a couple of months of work, I stopped reading half of the files . Second WD company with external power. Although it was noisy, it worked well until it fell from a height of only 30 cm, was caught "on the fly" and almost did not hit, but after some thought, it buzzed and died. Fortunately, I made backups and was able to restore all the information. I like this disc so far. Well protected. Immediately recognized by all my devices. Normally negotiates with both Win7 and Win 8.1. Quite smart for me: files from my laptop are copied via USB-3 at a speed of ~ 80-90 Mb / sec. Files are copied from another external drive through a computer at a speed of 30Mb / s. Who slows down I do not know. So far I'm happy with the purchase.
