The recipe must have changed

I had an old kit that has held up well after years of use. I'm an encaustic artist and heat is a necessary element of the process. My old squeegees held up great when I scraped the wax off with moderate heat. The new ones warped, melted and deformed under the same conditions. Did they make the plastic thinner? Did they use a different formula? I don't know but they are definitely not as good as my old ones which are finally wearing out after years of use.
