I used these brackets with a Dee Zee UltraBlack 6" Oval Tubular Step Step (Part #DZ16121). These brackets are great, they look very solid and are made of heavy duty steel The reason I gave it 4 stars is because the instructions that came with it were unclear and didn't match the tool I received. with hex bolt. The instructions also say "Hold the nut on the installation tool with a 15 -mm wrench tighten the screw in the tool kit with a 13mm socket." So I figured the same would apply to the slicing tool I was given. I ended up playing around with both slicing tools and was about to give up until I stumbled across this thread on the Dodge forums: http://dodgeforum.com/forum/4th-gen-ram-tech/200754-how-to -install- mopar-side -steps.html So I went to my storage room at home and bought some new nuts and bolts to make my own tool, then followed the step-by-step instructions in the post. You'll need to hold the bolt with an Allen wrench and tighten the nut. I also taped my bolts and sprayed the bolt with DW40 after I installed each bolt. All in all it took me about 3.5 hours to complete everything (including the step by step installation) of which I probably spent 3 hours installing these Rivnats. I'm very happy with the result, all the steps look very solid and look great. .
