There are very few differences between these and other boxing gloves I own. One of them is mentioned in the product description: those open fingers. Your fingers can just stretch out. I think this design is much better, not only for anti-jamming of the joint, but for overall comfort. I often feel warm and sweaty using them and the open fingers make it easier to grip, keep my hands dry and they make the gloves safer if an unexpected side impact occurs. Another difference is the build quality. They feel very light and don't have the same rubbery skin as my other gloves. The material is thinner and lighter, but they are sewn well and absorb shock very well. I think they will definitely hold up. they just feel that way. But they are not heavy like other pads and I think my first impression was that they are cheap (and they are pretty cheap). They're easy to don and use in a few seconds, making it easy to grab a partner and have fun. They have a better design than others I've used.
