Powerful. Need a bubble bar!
The motor of this pump is actually very quiet, but. The bubbles bursting on the water surface were REALLY loud with the included little air stone. I bought a 6 inch pneumatic rock pole and buried it under gravel in a 10 gallon tank and now it's really nice. I think the pump was too powerful for the little rock. It would probably be just as good or even better with a 12 inch airstone bar.
