You need an adapter for a new type of self-sealing canister with freon. See photo

I had to buy an extra adapter to use the new type of self-sealing refrigerant bottles. Look at the photo of the plastic adapter I found at Walmart after I bought this hose and couldn't find the older style refrigerant bottles. in my local shops.
