Perfect for windy weather

I used this jacket as a shell over a light Costco 32C down jacket a few weeks ago in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada at -22F (-30C). This jacket perfectly protected me from wind and cold. I know this jacket works without a down jacket because I wear it at home in California when it's windy. I hardly notice the gusts of cold while my family shivers in their normal jackets. The structure corresponds to the product description. The hood can be easily removed and fastened with a zipper. The jacket has a very thin fleece layer. The material is water-repellent and windproof. The wrist cuffs are adjustable with Velcro and the hem is adjustable with drawstrings. Overall great design. My only complaint is that when I first received the jacket there was a lot of thread around the seams of the jacket. They weren't part of the seams, but at first they just bothered my clothes.
