KYB SHOCK REVIEW.: Shock

Shocks arrived earlier than expected "Thank you" and were packaged very well. I installed shock absorbers on a Ford Windstar Van to replace the Monroe shock absorbers that had approx 55,000 miles. Basic bolt and nut attachment through a round sleeve on each of the shock absorbers. Lots of penetrating oil, a set of sockets and a set of wrenches. The hitting is a definite improvement and it was noticed right away. Driving over nearby road structures, the Van handled dips and bumps very well. The ride is firm and stable, making the van more nimble and confident in corners, and it also tracks well when simulating frantic lane changes. From experience these dampers should be broken in and better matched to the area you ride in, which will make the dampers even better the more mileage you break in (around 500+ miles). I also like the single tube design over the double tube design for the durability and support.
