Although the male is not human, neither cat nor dog, I am desperate for two of my gorgeous males who have lived with me for 2 and 1 year and died respectively during the installation of these filters. I bought 2 filters to use for a week out of the country and cannot describe my disgust and disappointment! I followed all the instructions, I had the right tank size and my two amazing fish were dead after 48 hours of use. One died yesterday and I came home with a second death today. Avoid at all costs! Hooray for me. Start a good holiday with the death of my pets. I spent good money on these filters. What a waste of time, money and common sense!
