Review on 🌟 10.2 Inch Touch Screen GPS Navigation Stereo for Toyota Highlander (2014-2019) with SYGAV Android 10.0 by Sean Bouchard

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The best Radio Highlander 2008-2012 you will find.

I have tried several android radios and this is the first one I really like and this is a review for 2008-2012 as they mix all reviews of highlander radios here: AM and FM reception tops a level equal to Pioneer, Alpine, etc. Get a Motorola 1 male 2 female and a Motorola GM adapter and you won't be disappointed. Volume controls, forward and backward not only work (very rare on Android radio for Highlander), but also mute/unmute and activate different equalizers by clicking on it!) Supports Carplay and Android Auto without any extra parts: (except your phone- dummy) The sound quality sounds as good as the big names when powered by an amp. I set the factory speech volume (aka pre-volume) to 1 in all modes because it was too loud by default at the lowest volume setting. Most apps I downloaded worked like clockwork including Spotify, Poweramp, Chrome, Gmail, Tune In, Pandora, Hulu, Revain Video. (Iheartradio and Netflix didn't work. I hope those providers find out.) Comes with IGO GPS, a very simple and easy-to-use GPS app, but you've also installed and tested Google and Waze maps, you need a hotspot to use all functions. The unit features a subwoofer, front and rear outputs, and rear and front camera inputs with a dedicated power line for the front camera or both, and a way to turn on the front camera for a few moments after switching. from behind. (Very handy for parallel parking.) Looks better than the factory radio because since it has built in air vents, that top seam is no longer needed. When installing, remove the head unit from the brackets, leaving a small top washer, and put it back into the car. The radio uses simple clips to stay in place and is very solid once in place. Minor issues but not killers: Too bad it doesn't support XM radio via antenna (supports the app) Wanted it to support HD radio (future addition folks?!?) Doesn't support iPod playback but Carplay is great Alternative, but mine is too old for that. I'll update this if I run into any issues in the future, but so far it's way ahead of the Secaine and Phoenix car audio units. (no volume controls, no aux out in Phoenix)

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • A bit crumpled
