Review on πŸ”© Tough Titanium Drill Bit Set for Enhanced Performance by Glen Needham

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Indexed 21 pcs. M35 Drill Set 5% Cobalt Split Point SAE 1/16 " to 1/2 "

No matter how good my drill is, without a good quality drill it has limited capabilities. I love do it yourself projects and woodworking and always try to use the best for the best results. When drilling in tough metal like stainless steel (SS), I use a good quality cobalt high speed steel (HSS) to get the job done right. These are high quality 5% Cobalt Steel M35 drill bits that come in an indexed metal case in SAE (Imperial) sizes from 1/16" to 1/2". (Image 1). This is the bit I want to have and use if I'm going to be drilling stainless steel or other hard metals. The DIY projects I do are no fun at all if I use a low quality bat. They are sharp and easily drill through stainless steel when used with a quality cutting oil such as Evo Dyne Cutting Fluid. Shafts are stamped with size information. I was very happy to see that they actually have "Split Points" (page 3) that SO MANY (8 out of 10 in my opinion) advertise but don't have! This helps prevent bit movement and makes drilling easier. What's missing are 3-flat ground shanks to prevent large drill bits (3/8" up) from rotating in the chuck. Most drill chucks are hand tightened without a chuck wrench, so that can be important. This will make a half star but since there are no halves I default to 5, especially since they have split point friction and heat build up so the end of the drill bit cuts into the metal without "welding" into the hole from red hot A small starting hole .is best for drilling a large hole - A piece of M35 Co 5% HSS high speed steel for alloy steels and other carbides, fully sharpened with 135Β° split point drill bits in a luxury metal case Excellent indexed cobalt drill bit set at a good price . I hope you found the information and my review helpful.
