. I could not find any country of origin marking on this set. This is illegal, good job OTC. At this price I expect top quality, fit and finish. Instead I got all those cheap zinc and oil and phosphate coatings on everything. That's exactly what you'll find with cheap Home Depot screws. The combination of platings is random, which is probably due to OTC being able to get a better deal on a given screw size. Without regular maintenance, expect everything in this set to rust. The jacking screw has a standard thread. Most jackscrews are Acme threads for reduced friction and longer life. The standard thread has a triangular profile, while the Acme thread has a trapezoidal thread, making it much more resistant to damage. The set is supplied in a disposable blow-moulded packaging. What a nice gesture.
