Description of OTC 7790 Flange Type Puller Set

Versatile puller capable of removing a wide variety of components having tapped pulling holes, including: harmonic balancers, gears, crankshaft pulleys, and more. Capable of handling 2 or 3-way pulling applications; works on many cars, pickups, SUVs, and small engines. Puller flange adapts to a bolt circle diameter of 1-1/2 to 4-5/8 inches and features a 5-5/8 inch long forcing screw with 5/8-18 threads and a 1-3/16 inch diameter x 3/4 inch thick shaft protector. Includes 3 ea. of the following SAE bolt sizes: 1/4-28 x 3 inches, 5/16-24 x 3 inches, 5/16-18 x 3-1/2 inches, 5/16-18 x 6 inches, 3/8-24 x 1-1/2 inches, 3/8-16 x 2 inches, 3/8-16 x 3 inches, and 3/8-16 x 4-1/2 inches. Includes 3 ea. of the following metric bolt sizes: M8x1.25 x 45mm long, M8x1.25 x 65mm long, M8x1.25 x 90mm long, and M10x1.5 x 35mm long; 3ea. 1/4, 5/16, and 3/8 inch flat washers.

Efficient Tool for Automotive Repair

This puller set proved to be a valuable addition to my automotive tools collection .The flange type design made it easy to remove stubborn bearings and gears from tight spaces. The various sizes accommodated a range of tasks, saving me time and effort. My only concern is that the set may not be suitable for heavy-duty industrial use. Overall a great investment for any DIY mechanic or small auto shop..

Quality $20 for $80

. I could not find any country of origin marking on this set. This is illegal, good job OTC. At this price I expect top quality, fit and finish. Instead I got all those cheap zinc and oil and phosphate coatings on everything. That's exactly what you'll find with cheap Home Depot screws. The combination of platings is random, which is probably due to OTC being able to get a better deal on a given screw size. Without regular maintenance, expect everything in this set to rust.
