heel problems good for men

I am a long time fan of Clarks Escalade and Clarks Touareg. Since Clarks destroyed both of these shoes I'm trying to find an alternative. I had high hopes for this shoe after reading all the comments here. But unfortunately I had to send them back. The reason I sent them back was that there was something wrong with their construction in the heel area. Maybe my feet are too flat for this shoe but the heel was very uncomfortable. Maybe this shoe is for people with high arches? I do not know. But the heel was too stiff and uncomfortable. I don't think it would go away after a hack. The shoes themselves are really nice. The upper in particular looks very nice, but the plain rubber outsole feels dated. You need to redesign the bottom of this shoe (at least add some ribs there). The fit (width, length) was perfect for my feet. But I would like to point out that these shoes were very heavy compared to the Clarks. I didn't care about the weight, but the heel problem was the deciding factor for me.

Pros
  • good thing
Cons
  • thin
