I've been wiring for about 20 years and I've always had a hard time spitting a cooling system. I have an old Land Rover Discovery 2 and this truck does not have a cooling system due to a complicated coolant hose routing. It takes me days and all sorts of tricks to fully burst the system. I used this last night and it cost me everything, but maybe 5 minutes to completely fill the cooling system and make sure there isn't an air pocket that can create engine hot spots is priceless. It connects to a source of compressed air and you place the cone of the tool in a reservoir or radiator hole. You push a little button and it starts creating a vacuum and it happens in seconds. Make sure the needle holds a vacuum for a while, and if it doesn't leak, submerge the fill hose in a coolant source (which you should have enough to fill the entire cooling system at once, or if you have an airlock coolant pump .) Open the valve and the vacuum will suck in the liquid. Let it work for a few minutes until the system is completely filled and the hoses are no longer squeezed - done! Assurance that you won't blow a head gasket due to a lack of coolant or an airlock. away with this tool. I believe this is the same as the Airlift II Econ version.
