Rockport shoes have never disappointed me. The upper is made of nice soft leather, although the color is a bit lighter than I expected. These are very light shoes - not what you need for winter unless you live in good weather. The outsole of this shoe has an all-rubber feel. The landing is a bit big. I wear a 10 1/2 E in most shoes and ordered that size. It is quite roomy in both width and length. I was able to wear them right out of the box and didn't have to break them in. I've had them for less than 2 weeks so I don't yet know how much they will wear out.
