My elderly mom really wanted an accent rug in her new small apartment, but we all know the dangers of tripping on rugs. I bought a much touted carpet tape that just didn't work. Before we gave up I looked around for other options and decided to try these rug grabs. I placed them so that the edges of my mother's circular rug lay flush against the wood laminate. We are very happy with the results. The carpet does not move, the edges stay in place. Perhaps I should have refrained from giving 5 stars until we see if the no trace claim holds up. (I'll admit I'm confused about the intended use of round gel grips. If anyone has used them, I'd love to hear about it.)
