Review on Sioux Chief Mfg 660 H 4 Inch by Dave Hess

Worked great for use with an LG washing machine. LG machines have electronic valves that shut off the water so quickly it made your pipes shake, and that shock absorber was the difference between holding a washing machine and giving it back. I went into a 10 minute job to replace them (outside the return window - how could something so simple have problems?) and after I replaced the first he unwrapped the second and immediately thought "ooh". It was clearly defective with a loose connector on the side of the machine. I tried to install it anyway and of course it leaked everywhere. So now I'm stuck with a half finished job and had to pay extra for expedited shipping to get the other part. 3 out of 4 were good, but the quality level of 75% of the product is not acceptable. This is an update of the previous paragraph: I originally wrote a 5 star review 2 years ago. I installed them on an LG washing machine and they worked for about 2 years. I'd happily spend money on a replacement every few years though. When I decided to replace them with new ones, the quality of the product deteriorated significantly. I replaced one that I thought worked initially, but when I tried to put it on the other side it just couldn't tighten the machine connector socket tight enough. The collar dangled, wiggled and licked like crazy. I paid for same day express shipping to get a replacement for this one and when I finished the job I saw that the first one had a slow leak as well. Expedited replacement of the first bad one was just as bad. Comparing the 3 new to my 2 worn originals they seem to be worse with a non-tightening female connection. The third new one couldn't even be screwed into the car. The big test was to put back 2 originals without leaking. This product is GARBAGE.
