These are value for money cutting machines. They have a 1/2" shank for stability and low vibration. There are three cutting teeth on each bit, which also reduces vibration and makes the cut smoother. The cutting teeth are made of hard metal. They are very sharp and cut smoothly. Much better to use in a router or router table. Slightly large for use with a hand router but doable. Only time will tell durability.
