This little device showed promise but unfortunately it didn't live up to my expectations. It has three video ports: HDMI, SVGA, and Display Port. The problem is that only one works. If you only need an additional monitor, use a USB-C to video converter for a much lower price. This device will be returned. As a bonus, it also charges the laptop. Yes it was more expensive. but it does its job really well.
