Very uncomfortable. This shirt uses a different material on the back. It's almost a mesh material and probably very breathable. The problem is that the seams connecting the two materials are very scratchy on the back. This is very bad because otherwise it might be a good base layer. IF you still decide to buy this shirt, be aware that it runs small. I understand this is the base layer which should be a bit dense but it still runs small. The large one was tighter than I would like and I'm 5ft 11" and 160lbs.
