Bought to replace the straps on my 25+ year old ALICE backpack that I use on my travels. ALICE straps lasted 20 years before they started falling apart, and that was after six continents, lots of hiking, and some (serious) overloading from time to time. These belts. Well, a four-day honeymoon with a bundle of clothes, a toiletry bag, and a paperback novel, and the seams have come undone. I've patched it up so far with tent twine, canvas glue, and a mattress pin, but I don't think they're really good for anything unless you know how to fix it.
