Not worth the extra money

I'd love to give an honest review of this gate but Amazon probably won't condone profanity. So I'll do my best. I have a 3 story house. I'm lucky, that means I need at least 4 baby gates and 3 of them have to be swing gates, because normal ones don't fit because the casing is at the bottom and the wall is at the top. I have an auto-closing Munchkin gate, a Regalo gate, and now this easy-closing Munchkin gate. First, let me say that the Regalo gate is $33. It doesn't require an extra extension to fit my space and has a tricky lock that a toddler can't open. It's ridiculously easy to install and doesn't require any special tools for installation. The only downside is that the hole is small. So small that I bumped my side climbing the stairs and got a horrible bruise. Okay, I'll spend the extra money (and I mean double) on a wide and get a munchkin. when it arrived it was too small. Okay, my fault, I didn't measure, but I assumed at $60 it was like my $70 auto-closing gate that came with the 5.5 expansion. Again, Regal $33 gets you all of this with no add-ons. Another 15 dollars. It's too big with both hair and a bit small without the little one. I've used cups and they seem fine, at least they're at the bottom of the stairs. You'll need a special tool or wrench to tighten this thing up. So the setup is longer and more complicated than necessary. These goals are so overpriced they should come with an extension. It's a complete pain to set it up. There are better goals, keep looking.
