Every time I drive through a rougher stretch of road it's not enough to adjust the mount's tightness and the radar detector now looks at the new position. This seems to mainly only affect the adjustment point closest to the radar/magnet, so I used a zip tie wrapped as tightly as possible around that section. It works for my car because the part of the mount that I need is completely covered there. The other adjustment point, closest to the mirror itself, doesn't seem to be a problem and makes it easy to toggle day/night on the rearview mirror when I need to use it. With a zipper it's perfect. But for $35 it shouldn't be that terrible.
