I bought the medium one for $10.99 for my (heavy stock) Jack Russell/Rat Terrier/Chihuahua and the small one for $8.99 for my Miniature Poodle. so it is adjustable and fits well. A chubby dog will usually have trouble with sweaters that are an inch too small around his waist for what he should be at a healthy weight, but is a size too big for his torso and he's saggy and tight in the worst places than he is if it would be at the perfect angle for him to accidentally urinate. Anyway, I digress. The velcro strips are long enough for a fat person to have an inch or so extra (sometimes wearing two layers of clothing and can get fatter with age) but also not so big that the fabric hangs/gathers dangerously everywhere. It's still a bit long for his torso, so the elastic loops are too low to fit the straps, but I don't see that as a problem, especially compared to the sweaters we already have. say about it. The little one fits into a (healthy) terrier-sized dog (🎵 what a story). The outer fabric is more like a windbreaker than a rain jacket. In an ideal world nylon would be a bit thicker/denser but the fur is quite thick/fluffy so it will take some time to get wet enough for the dog to start tending to it. Inside is an acrylic Sherpa loved by all the dogs I've had, it's very cozy. I think I'll order a replacement because Lil Chubbo is in short supply of a good sweater and our Lhasa Aps might need it after his midwinter haircut.
