Kirby has never let me down. I shampooed the carpets and it was easy and effective. They look the same as when we moved in 3 years ago. I should also mention that we are a family of 3. But the best part, apart from a clean fresh carpet, is that I cleaned my whole house and it was completely dry within 45 minutes and ready to walk on right after shampooing. I love the fact that it only uses 10% of the water on the carpet. It's almost like dry shampoo, only better because it works without soaking the carpet (which will void your carpet's warranty). This shampoo will NOT void your rug's warranty as it will not saturate the backing of the rug. Therefore, the upholstery stays dry. There is no risk of mold. This is the ONLY shampoo I use on my floors
