I bought 3 packs and built them up, the instructions were concise and simple, if a little boring, for the first two. Based on my quick test, email and sound notifications work as expected. Love the fact that they have a removable battery, beeper (loud!), email notification, and no smart hub (after my smart hub was discontinued, I was hesitant to switch to dependency on it). concentrator). The only downside was that one of the sensors was not working properly upon arrival, after several attempts to troubleshoot with the seller they sent me a replacement. The seller was responsive and more than compensated for the problem. Email Alert provides a quick (typically less than 1 minute) email notification when a leak is detected, and also provides a weekly summary tracking things like battery life so you (before it is too late) know when it is time to swap units . You can set up multiple destination email addresses and with an email to sms gateway I think this can send a text notification too. All in all a solid product, time will tell what the battery life is like. Replacing the battery requires removing 4 mini-screws, which isn't particularly difficult, but would be a hassle with multiple devices if the batteries don't last at least 1-2 years. What makes this product exceptional is the integration of apps (which also make setup easier and allow for easier management/rebranding etc), quick battery swaps (either a single screw or a slide out battery cover) and the ability to do this via email (i.e. instead of 3 emails, receive one email digest for all devices). Also, having a central function/application/digest makes it more obvious when one of the units dies. Missing emails in the event of a sudden battery drain or Wi-Fi loss is less obvious than an active alert that one of the devices isn't registering. All in all a worthwhile purchase from a great seller, a good price and a sound investment. to protect my house from leaks.
