The solenoid's electrical shutter broke when I adjusted one very.
The solenoid's electrical attachment broke when I applied very little torque when tightening the small nut. I have installed and removed many starters and never broke this part. It was so difficult to install into the truck that I didn't want to take it out again, so I sealed it with silicone and left it installed. The part was probably already cracked or damaged. It was literally the last fastener I had to tighten to complete the installation. Still working after 2 months.
