Review on Pre-Seasoned Cast Iron Horse Bacon Press by Old Mountain by Shannon Baroody

This item arrived quickly, well packaged and undamaged. It looks very nice and it would be great if I was looking for something more decorative than functional. However, there are two screws and screw holes on the underside (the side that comes in contact with the raw meat) (see photo); all with deep recesses for meat and fat and would be difficult to clean effectively, creating a potential problem with foodborne bacteria. The photos didn't show any of the flat sides actually touching the flesh; Otherwise I would buy a completely undamaged press underneath. I'll probably just hang this over my kitchen cabinets for decoration because it's visually appealing and I'm usually too lazy to return things unless they're very expensive.
