But it doesn't work perfectly.

I have used egg rings 6 times now and time will tell if I continue to use them. I like to make eggs sunny side up on roasted English. muffins The circle diameter is perfect. 2 round eggs on 2 2 sausage muffin halves is a good breakfast. The rings are well finished, have a very good weld, are flat at the bottom and well covered inside and out. something like black powder paint. I use evoo and paint on many. The rings have a good finish but are not non-stick and when oil drops are applied to most surfaces it does not remain lubricated. No surface of any pan, no matter what brand, is perfectly flat, mostly has texture, and even if the rings are preheated in a pan, oiled on both sides and the heated surface belongs to the circle of the pan, the egg whites will slip under the ring if you use him. Drop the egg and then stick to the ring. The yolk always seems to slide close to the ring and then tends to stick to it. When I'm done I pick up the ring and when a little squirrel slips under the ring the egg appears with it. You have to take a fork and tickle the egg, and when the yolk gets stuck, sometimes the yolk breaks and makes a mess. Then when it's done, even if I immediately dip the ring in hot soapy water, it still takes a little while to clean it. . For the final cleaning of the washcloth you still have to scratch with your fingernail. Haven't tried the pancake rings yet, but in the end I wish the coating they were applied to was more non-stick. I know people in healthcare avoid this, so they do their best to stay within accepted limits. This might work better for you, I want to improve.
