I bought this filter to upgrade the AZOO Mignon 60 filter on my 5 gallon tank. The 60 didn't have enough flow, but this one is perfect. At 5 liters, however, it looks a bit bulky. The plastic appears to be of good quality for a clear plastic and as it is translucent you can see when it needs to be peeled off. The flow works well for my tank and is easy to adjust so the flow isn't too strong. You need to clean the inlet sponge regularly or you will notice a significant reduction in flow. There is a little more room on the back of the filter for more filter material, but I didn't add more because it slows the flow. In addition, the propeller is always perfectly centered, so you never hear any noise when it hits walls. The only problem with this filter is that it makes an annoying vibrating noise when the lid is closed. So I just don't open the lid. Without the lid, it is very quiet and only emits a soft whisper.
