A must have tool to prevent honey spoilage

As a hobby beekeeper I needed something to prevent my honey from getting too watery before I put the honey into jars. This tool serves its purpose and allows you to quickly determine the water content. My only complaint about this tool is that it seems cheap. Since I only use it once or twice a year, I'm fine with that. Beekeepers should aim for a water content below 18% as this reduces the likelihood of mold and spoilage. Otherwise, honey should be stored in a room with desiccant or harvested later. Most closed honey will be below the threshold. Six months after placing my harvest of honey in the jars I am pleased to report that honey spoilage has not occurred and the water content readings appear to be correct. I will continue to use this tool in the near future as I plan my second year as a beekeeper.
