Review on MG Chemicals Strength Removable Threadlocker by Richard Cartner

Revainrating 5 out of 5

holds firmly, easy to remove

I bought this to use on the magazine tube of my Mossberg 500 shotgun. The magazine is a threaded tube that attaches to an aluminum body. A Mossberg will require the tube to be removed from the receiver to clean or repair/replace the spring. OK, regular screw lock like the standard blue works well, but I don't think it takes that much force, makes frequent removals choreographed. Some Mossberg owners I know use clear nail polish for this very reason. I read about this faint purple and decided to give it a try. I like it. Highly recommended for this purpose. Now the tube is larger than the nominal 1/4" diameter on the bottle, but that just means my store's tube stays tight. Easily removed without heating. a .22 rifle that also has an aluminum receiver. The commonly used blue color does not seem right for these small screws in this soft metal satisfied with the purchase if empty I will order more.
