Review on Torklift C2204A Front Tie Down by Adam Allard

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Potentially dangerous. But a good product

Torklift C2204A. not correct. Very good closures. A problem with them for pickup/diesel Chevrolet Silverado 3500 (one ton). The driver's side front clamp bolt is too long and if you tighten it all the way it will likely go through the fuel tank. a quarter inch from at least the front bolt, even then you only have 1/8 inch clearance from the end of the bolt to the tank. I've been watching him closely and he's staying stable at this distance. I contacted their tech support and they told me to try loosening the nut and tightening the yoke with turnbuckle force and then retightening the yoke. Personally I think it's a bad idea if it ever suddenly moves back, in my opinion it will puncture the tank if the bolt hasn't sheared off. Another suggestion was to loosen the tank bolts and move the tank. I don't think there is enough space and the possibility of it moving backwards is still there.

Pros
  • Package dimensions: 51815L x 38608H x 32512W (centimeters)
Cons
  • Not bad but...
