Review on ๐Ÿฉณ Columbia Men's Permit II Shorts by Scott Rodriguez

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The waist is good but a little loose

The material is thin but I hope it is durable. The waist fit is good but a bit loose, the narrow belt holds, the wider one doesn't fit through the loops. I'm 5ft 9" and the 6" inseam still feels a bit long when standing, but when I'm sitting in a chair it stretches to mid-thigh, which works for me. An 8 inch inseam lowers it close to the knee when walking. These shorts are not tight around the buttocks and the leg opening is huge. I can almost unbutton them like a skirt. But it's good for climbing I think. I think it's made that way because the material used has no elasticity, so it needs a wide leg opening and a loose fit for comfort, but it's too wide to look edgy. The front side pocket is too shallow, so things to that tend to fall out, but bottom cargo pockets with velcro closure at front. It is great. There's a small pocket on the right side, but it's mesh and doesn't have a locking function, which is totally useless. Any protruding objects like keys cut through the mesh and I don't want to pocket credit cards or cash. so it is easy for others to see. I haven't put it into the hard work yet, so I don't know how long that will take. I probably won't buy it again, but overall it's ok for most people.

Pros
  • Dries quickly
Cons
  • Everything is fine
