After looking at Home Depot I decided to purchase this item. The one they had in the store didn't include all the necessary installation hardware and accessories. All you need in this kit is a Phillips screwdriver, pencil, stud finder and spirit level. Having a drill is helpful but may not be necessary depending on who you ask. Some reviewers here said the included stylus didn't work for drilling holes and that they had to switch to a drill. I recently bought and installed a wall mount for my 50" TV and figured before I get this I'll see how it looks with the cables hanging down. One look was enough for my wife to say the wires looked awful. After installing the kit I have to agree. This kit is priced right and is very easy to install. When I tell you I'm not much of a handyman, I mean it. If you do a google search for this kit and select a video from the results you will find a video of Legrande. It's over the top, but it only takes about 5 minutes to watch in full. I read some reviews on here before purchasing this kit and had some concerns as to how to proceed. The most time-consuming aspect of installation is finding the right locations for the holes. , I also had no problem connecting multiple HDMI cables, 3 inch. y, and more AV cables could be routed if needed. As far as I can tell, running additional cables in the future shouldn't be a problem at all. This is easy to do with the help of fishing tape. My only issue was the need for even longer HDMI cables. With my fully articulating mount, the cables are only 10 feet long. If I decide to move the TV a bit, e.g. For example, moving the furniture or watching TV in another room, the cables will not suffice. I ordered female to female HDMI adapters along with a set of 3 7ft cables that I have used previously.
