Review on Forney 57070 Replacement Welding 2 Inch by Kenneth Wood

Excellent arc/general coloring (gold/yellow) under the hood and all the detail is well lit too. I use it for DC TIG welding and the lighter lens (shade #9) works very well from 50 amps and below which is ideal for welding sheet metal/small machined parts. Sometimes I use over 50 amps, up to 125, which is light but still welds well. The durability is the same as any other regular glass lens - I extend the life of my lenses by putting a layer or two of tape around the edges which prevents edge crack welding. My first lens lasted about 6 months with normal wear, breakage and drops (I don't use a clear protective lens over it as I only used it for TIG - no spatter). Bought two more replacements. Highly recommended.
