
The switch is exactly as described. There are three ways to switch between inputs. With a key combination, a wired remote control and a button directly on the switch. I use the remote to keep the switch out of sight. The fact that it uses an external power supply can help you with USB devices that draw a lot of power. I've been using a windows laptop and a linux for 2 weeks now, no problems to report
