Great when it works. It's dangerous when it's not.
I buy and sell a lot of antiques and jewelry, so a good lighted magnifying glass is an essential part of my arsenal. I liked this lens at first. Good bright light and good clear magnification. The day after my return window closed, I noticed that the light was very dim. I figured it must be a battery issue since LEDs don't die that quickly. When I unplugged it to look at it, one of the batteries literally exploded in front of me. And now my returns window is closed and I just ran out of money.
