The pump is great. Easy to use and powerful. The pockets aren't great. Great idea, but at least half the time the little valve doesn't hold the vacuum. I also found that it was often difficult to even get the bag to work. It often took several tries before my pump could start pumping air. Even if it worked initially, it rarely held a vacuum when reused. I had a roll of heavy duty duct tape on my counter and decided to try a piece to seal the valve after the pump stopped. Worked very well. I cut a piece about 1 1/2 inches long, folded it over the edge to make a label for later removal, and attached it once I moved the pump. With this addition, I can easily reuse bags. Packing tape (heavy duty) is easier to work with than duct tape and so far it does the job.
