It is more difficult to get the pump firmly onto the valve than the original pump, but once you do that it will achieve a better vacuum and tighter seal. I am very happy with the performance of the bag and just need to take a course on using my pump with this product.

I've been buying these bags for a while and only now realized that the white clips that come with it are NOT part of the package! They should help the zipper close completely! Yes! Overall they are superior to food saver bags. However, we wash and use ziplock vacuum bags as often as possible (after soaking them in very hot water) and the vacuum ports seem to wear out faster than Food Saver ziplock bags. Not sure what's more economical (or cheaper) yet.

In my opinion these bags are superior to Foodsaver zip bags in design. It is easy to close the bag completely, and the zipper is of high quality, no need to find grooves to close the bag.
