We serviced the rear differential on a 2016 F250 SD. We removed the gears covered by the rear cover and then scraped the old gasket off the differential and cover. Then applied the Motorcraft silicone gasket to the lid and reinstalled. I may have used too much so I waited 2 days (much longer than I should) to have a good time before refilling. Filled it up with no leaks, and the next week I pulled my fifth wheel for a full month. We have traveled more than 10,000 miles west across the continental divide many times. The rear diff does not leak and works perfectly.
