The electronic part of this collar is excellent for correcting and thus preventing barking. However, the included fabric collar is useless. The retainers on it don't allow to maintain the correct size, even when I double tied the excess around the size collar just in front of the retainer to prevent slipping. This results in the box hanging off the dog and snagging on its flea/tick collar, preventing or even reaching the dog any truly effective vibration or shock correction. (These collars are designed to be worn high on the neck, also your regular collar cannot be removed as it is necessary for my medical purposes.) may vary. So I bought a e-collar and bark collar collar exactly the same as the one on their e-collar and I cut open the original collar to get it out of the bark collar box. I was surprised to find that something in the box is preventing you from inserting a new collar! I couldn't even put the original back in, and the new one wasn't thicker or wider, just smoother material. I've tried many different ways to insert a new collar, including trying to pull it through from the other end with a wire attached, but nothing has worked. I ended up having to cut out a new collar and super glue it to both sides of the box. This works well, but of course it's a weird way of doing things! I set the sensitivity setting to 4 so toys, sneezes, etc. don't trigger the collar, but I have to remove the collar if she's playing with her alligator toy, which is making a low buzz instead of a high-pitched squeak. because this tone is turned off bark collar. I'm currently only using vibration (and a beep that can't be turned off) on 7, but now that it's set correctly on my dog I can probably turn it down.
