It worked well. It was bigger than my old one so I had to drill a bigger hole. I had it plugged into an overhead outlet that required the switch to be on to work. This only works with the lower derailleur and does not cover the upper fork. Otherwise, if you put it on the top socket, you will cover the bottom plug and you won't have space to operate the dishwasher. Now my dishwasher is on the switch. No big deal as the switch is always on. I just liked the fact that I had the added ability to turn the chute off if something like a body part got caught in the chute. I ordered the longer of the two because I had a granite sink, but the old one was shorter and the short one would fit. I installed this product in 15 minutes including drilling time. So far it's working fine!
