After watching the video, the sharpener needs a little training. It doesn't have a straight edge mark or guide, but you don't need them. All you have to do is observe the plane of the guide roller along the edge of the blade to adjust the squareness (blade sharpener, blade up, hold at eye level) and observe the plane of the blade in relation to the stone adjust the angle ( keep stone and sharpener at eye level). If you press down too hard, the sharpener will tip forward along the edge of the blade, so relax and let the stone do the work. As expected, the roller lost its luster after the first use and retained its straightness even after the tools were sharpened several times. The sharpener needed a 3 in 1 drop of oil on the roller and pressure plate, which is normal maintenance for this type of sharpener. The product exceeded all expectations and far outperformed the standard reel sharpener with an extended, adjustable rear arm. The sharpener arrived on time, in sturdy bubble wrap packaging, well designed and with durable metal and wood for the handles. Yes I would buy it again!
