I'm very picky about colors and I'm also the world's most notorious cheapskate so if I see a nice stainless steel set on a quick sale , I totally agree. The only thing that bothered me were the reviews from people saying the glass lids were cracked from the steam. I boiled water to test and it was good! No cracks! This is a really nice set and it complements my kitchen. I love that they all come with lids and they are all heavy but not so heavy that they are difficult to lift (I don't have upper body strength). I'm so glad I bought them. Cooking Tip: Before turning on the heat, brush the bottom of the pot/pan with olive oil. They're not non-stick, so if you try to cook without oil, you're going to be in a mess!
