I bought this to cover a couple of small windows in my front door that are at eye level and I love it! When I ordered it the pictures led me to think it had its own color/tint, but it is actually completely "transparent" with small pebbles of varying thickness or varying degrees of texture/iridescence - this texturing creates privacy by showing off appearance distorted. and also creates a beautiful color pattern by picking up different hues from the environment. I am far happier with how it actually works than I thought I would get and have applied it to my bathroom window as well. Its application is very simple - similar to attaching decorative Christmas window chains for children. You should definitely clean the window first, then just slightly dampen the surface, remove the backing and press down. I was very good at cutting my pieces with straight lines and just the right size - when I brought the edge to the top of the windows in the door it immediately hooked and essentially sucked the whole piece perfectly into the window (almost no air). blisters!). On my bathroom window, which is slightly larger, it was a little awkward to hold a large piece, but still very easy to apply and smooth out any air bubbles. And if you mess it up, it's very easy to peel off and put back on. I've received countless compliments on it and can only recommend it.
