Good quality, sturdy shopping bags. They are spacious and tall enough to carry 2 gallons of milk. The insulation will help keep your perishables cold for awhile. I wouldn't recommend leaving groceries in your trunk for an afternoon of course. The inside bottom is removable so that the bags can be folded down more compactly. For the price I wish it came with a strap or some way to secure them closed after they were folded to minimize the chance of damage to the lining, most notably the top cover which flops loosely after being folded. Especially since after putting the bottom back in the bag to keep it from getting lost or dirty, the bag doesn't fold as flat as it would otherwise.For personal preference I don't like the combo that they are offered in, I feel like since they are sold as a set either the color or the pattern should match. Two different colors with two different patterns just bothers me a bit.
